Happy October everyone! Can you even believe it's here already?? I love fall!
Let's move on before I get lost on a tangent.
Let's talk matching.
Specifically, matching points while quilting.
Let's talk about how horrible I am at matching points. Okay, maybe let's not discuss that, but take my word for it.
Today, I bring you some awesome tips on how to get those points lined up.
Amanda is wonderful.
The proof is in these pictures of her great points! Okay, and in her tips. They are pretty great.
I for one struggle super bad in this area and it is a major source of frustration when I'm quilting.
"Two of the most important things to do when you want matching points is to make sure that you (1) cut accuratelyand (2) maintain an accurate 1/4" seam in your piecing. I cannot stress to you enough how important these steps are and how they will make your sewing life much more enjoyable :) If you struggle in these areas, I suggest you practice here first."
Amen, sister. I struggle with the 1/4" seam. Why is it so hard??
Anyway, she offers some more great advice on how to get more accuracy in these two areas and has some great picture examples of how to achieve that matching point. Go check it out here.
